SUNDAY 10
IN ALL YOU DO—PRAY! PRAYERS HELP YOU DRAW CLOSER TO GOD
Communication is an effective way to establish a closer and more profound relationship
with someone. The essence of communicating to our Heavenly Father is through prayer—
not only that, but when we worship and honor Him, it helps to draw us closer to Him. Pray
to the LORD and seek Him with all your heart! “Then you will call on me and come and pray
to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all
your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the LORD, “and will bring you back from
captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,”
declares the LORD, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”
Jeremiah 29 12-14 (NIV)

MONDAY 11
THERE IS GREAT ADVANTAGE IN PRAYER
Prayer offers protection from the enemy! It gives us victory over spiritual Battles—it offers
forgiveness and it could help to defeat the enemy! God wants our lives to be beneficial in every
way and that is why He has given us His faithful word over every situation. Be steadfast and
pray continually! Your Heavenly Father has the power to meet your every need—stay
connected and seek Him, always; “Seek the LORD while you can find him. Call on him now while
he is near. 7 Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let
them turn to the LORD that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive
generously.”
Isaiah 55 6-7 (NLT)

TUESDAY 12
PRAYERLESSNESS VS PRAYERFULNESS
Prayerlessness brings darkness and confusion in our lives; it eventually leads to spiritual
death. If we do not pray, how can we expect God to be in our lives? When we do not pray,
we become vulnerable and we leave the door open for Satan to come in and destroy us.
There is no counsel, light, direction, protection, preservation, forgiveness, and there will be
no mercy in your life when you do not pray. Prayer could also lead to judgment from God.
Prayerfulness, on the other hand, gives us direction and it offers protection, peace, joy and
gives us light in dark situations. It helps build our spiritual life: it gives us wisdom and hides
us from the path of the enemy.
Job 21:14-21
Psalm 91:1-16

WEDNESDAY 13
ONE OF THE GREATEST THING CHRISTIANS COULD EVER DO IS PRAY
Prayer is life to our spirits, and it will strengthen our relationship with God. It keeps us
spiritually sound; it nourishes our soul and keeps us on the right path! When we fail to pray,
we become weak and feeble. Darkness sets in and causes our lives to be filled with chaos.
We must always remember to pray and never forget to pray for others; “As for me, far be it
from me that I should sin against the LORD by failing to pray for you…” Let us pray for the
church—God’s people everywhere, and for the systems of this world.” Pray throughout the
day!
1 Samuel 12 V 23 (NIV)

THURSDAY 14
KEEP THE FAITH! PRAYER IS NOT ONLY TRIUMPHANT—IT IS VICTORIOUS!
When our families are falling apart and trials and tribulations seem to have taken over our
lives, thank God for each test and keep on being faithful—you will be victorious! “But he
knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.”
Job 23 V 10 (KJV)

FRIDAY 15
PRAYER OFFERS GREAT PROMISES FROM GOD AND IT LEADS TO MIGHTY
VICTORIES: We must never give up on prayer—that’s what the devil wants. When things get
tough—pray. When situations get you down, keep on praying. God is faithful! Prayer is the
key to open doors. “Ask and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will
be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; and the one who seeks finds, and to the
one who knocks it will be opened.”
Matthew 7 VS 7-8 (ESV)

SATURDAY 16
GOD’S WORD HAS INSTRUCTED US TO PRAY: PRAYER GIVES US POWER OVER
THE ENEMY! Prayer has power to save you from your distresses! Just cry out to the Lord and
He will deliver you; 28 “LORD, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their
distress.29He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves.30 What a blessing was that
stillness as he brought them safely into harbor!”
Psalm 107 28-30 (NLT)

WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT: Psalm 63:1 (NKJV) says: “O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water.”

Children of God!

SCRIPTURE READINGS FOR MAY 3-9, 2020
MEDITATION OF THE WEEK: CHILDREN OF GOD!
MALACHI 3:16-17 (AMP) “Then those who feared the LORD [with awe-filled reverence] spoke to one another; and the LORD paid attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him of those who fear the LORD [with an attitude of reverence and respect] and who esteem His name. 17 “They will be Mine,” says the LORD of hosts, “on that day when I publicly recognize them and openly declare them to be My own possession [that is, My very special treasure]. And I will have compassion on them and spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.”

Sunday 3 Psalm 2
Monday 4 Proverbs 4
Tuesday 5 Romans 8
Wednesday 6 Ezekiel 20
Thursday 7 1 Peter 1
Friday 8 Genesis 3
Saturday 9 1 John 4

DAILY FOCUS

SUNDAY 3 CHILDREN OF THE MOST HIGH GOD, WORSHIP HIM IN THE BEAUTY OF HOLINESS
AND SERVE HIM WITH GREAT REVERENCE!
“Now therefore, O kings, act wisely; be instructed and take warning, O leaders (judges, rulers) of the earth. 11 Worship the LORD and serve Him with reverence [with awe-inspired fear and submissive wonder];
rejoice [yet do so] with trembling.12 Kiss (pay respect to) the Son, so that He does not become angry, and you perish in the way, for His wrath may soon be kindled and set aflame. How blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] are all those who take refuge in Him!”
Psalm 2 10-12 (NIV)

MONDAY 4 INCLINE YOUR EARS—HEAR AND LET YOUR HEART TAKE HOLD OF YOUR
HEAVENLY FATHER’S WORD: “Hear, O children, the instruction of a father, and pay
attention [and be willing to learn] so that you may gain understanding and
intelligent discernment. 2For I give you good doctrine; do not turn away from my
instruction. 3When I was a son with my father (David), tender and the only son in
the sight of my mother (Bathsheba), 4He taught me and said to me, “Let your heart
hold fast my words; Keep my commandments and live.”
Proverbs 4 1-4 (AMP)

TUESDAY 5 CHILDREN OF GOD ARE SPIRITUALLY LED BY HIM AND THEIR HEARTS ARE
ATTUNED TO DO HIS WILL! “Those who live according to the flesh have their minds
set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have
their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6 The mind governed by the flesh is death,
but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. 7 The mind governed by the
flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8 Those who
are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God… 14For those who are led by the
Spirit of God are the children of God.”
Romans 8 5-14 (NKJV)

WEDNESDAY 6 CHILDREN OF GOD DELIGHT TO WALK IN HIS WAYS! “And I said to their children in
the wilderness, ‘Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers, nor keep their rules, nor
defile yourselves with their idols. 19 I am the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and
be careful to obey my rules, 20 and keep my Sabbaths holy that they may be a sign
between me and you, that you may know that I am the LORD your God.’ 21 But the
children rebelled against me. They did not walk in my statutes and were not careful
to obey my rules, by which, if a person does them, he shall live; they profaned my
Sabbaths.”
Ezekiel 20 18-21 (AMP)

THURSDAY 7 THE LORD EXPECTS HIS CHILDREN TO LIVE A LIFE OF HOLINESS! “Obey God because
you are his children; don’t slip back into your old ways—doing evil because you
knew no better. 15 But be holy now in everything you do, just as the Lord is holy,
who invited you to be his child. 16He himself has said, “You must be holy, for I am
holy.” 1 Peter 1 14-16 (TLB)

FRIDAY 8 DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD HAS ITS CONSEQUENCES “ To Adam he said, “17Because you
listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you,
‘You must not eat from it,’ Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil
you will eat food from it all the days of your life. 18It will produce thorns and thistles
for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. 19By the sweat of your brow you will
eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust
you are and to dust you will return.”
Genesis 3 17-19 (NIV)

SATURDAY 9 GOD DELIGHTS IN KNOWING THAT HIS CHILDREN LIVE AND EXPRESS GODLY LOVE
FOR EACH OTHER! “Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love
comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. 8 But anyone
who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9God showed how much he
loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have
eternal life through him. 10 This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he
loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. 11Dear friends, since
God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.”
1 John 4 7-11 (NLT)

WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT: GALATIANS 3:26 (AMP) says: “For you [who are born-again have been reborn from above— spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified and] are all children of God [set apart for His purpose with full rights and privileges] through faith in Christ Jesus.”

Power Belongs To God!

SCRIPTURE READINGS FOR APRIL 26 – MAY 2, 2020
MEDITATION OF THE WEEK: POWER BELONGS TO GOD!
Job 11:7-10 (AMP) states: “Can you find out the deep things of God, or can you by searching find out the limits of the Almighty [explore His depths, ascend to His heights, extend to His breadths, and comprehend His infinite perfection]? 8 His wisdom is as high as the heights of heaven! What can you do? It is deeper than Sheol (the place of the dead)! What can you know? 9 Longer in measure [and scope] is it than the earth, and broader than the sea. 10 If [God] sweeps in and arrests and calls into judgment, who can hinder Him? [If He is against a man, who shall call Him to account for it?”

wicked to the ground. 7Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; make melody to our

MONDAY 27 GIVE THANKS AND PRAISE TO THE GLORIOUS NAME OF THE LORD, YOUR
GOD! 11 “Thine, O LORD is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the
victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine;
thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. 12 Both
riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is
power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength
unto all. 13Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious
name.”
1 Chron 29 11-13 (KJV)

TUESDAY 28 GOD ALONE IS GOD AND THERE IS NO OTHER—HE IS THE ALL-WISE, ALLPOWERFUL GOD:
56 “Praise the LORD who has given rest to his people Israel, just
as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the wonderful promises he gave
through his servant Moses. 57 May the LORD our God be with us as he was with
our ancestors; may he never leave us or abandon us…59 And may these words
that I have prayed in the presence of the LORD be before him constantly, day
and night, so that the LORD our God may give justice to me and to his people
Israel, according to each day’s needs. 60 Then people all over the earth will know
that the LORD alone is God and there is no other. 61 And may you be completely
faithful to the LORD our God. May you always obey his decrees and commands,
just as you are doing today.”
1 Kings 8 56-61 (NLT)

WEDNESDAY 29 THE POWER OF GOD CAN CHANGE THE HEART OF EVERY MAN!

your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27And I will put my Spirit in
you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.” Let’s
pray for the body of Christ to be built up strong in faith; pray for all our unsaved
loved ones as well as the nations of this world!
Ezekiel 36 26-27 (NIV)

THURSDAY 30 THE GREATNESS OF GOD IS UNFATHOMABLE, WHO CAN COMPARE TO HIS
LIMITLESS POWER? “
5 The spirits of the dead tremble underneath the waters
and their inhabitants… 14Yet these are just the fringes of His ways [mere
samples of His power], The faintest whisper of His voice! who can contemplate
the thunder of His [full] mighty power?”
Job 26 5-14 (AMP)

FRIDAY 1 EVERYTHING THAT EXISTS, EXISTS BY GOD’S POWER! 33Oh, how great are
God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to
understand his decisions and his ways! 34 For who can know the LORD’s
thoughts? Who knows enough to give him advice? 35And who has given him so
much that he needs to pay it back? 36 For everything comes from him and exists
by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen.
Romans 11 33-36 (NLT)

SATURDAY 2 IS THERE ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR THE ALMIGHTY, ALL-POWERFUL GOD?
“Behold (listen closely), the days are coming,” says the LORD, “When I will raise
up for David a righteous Branch; and He will reign as King and act wisely and will
do [those things that accomplish] justice and righteousness in the land. “6
In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell safely; now this is His name by
which He will be called; ‘The LORD Our Righteousness.”
Jeremiah 23 5-6 (AMP)

WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT: 1 Peter 5:11-13 ( VOICE) says: “ For all power belongs to God, now and forever. Amen.”

God’s Word and the Heart’s Emotion!

Tuesday 7 Hosea 11
Wednesday 8 Psalm 30
Thursday 9 Ezekiel 28
Friday 10 Matthew 20
Saturday 11 1 John 4

SUNDAY 5
LOVE IS PURE AND POWERFUL! “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does
not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not
easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices
with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are
tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.”
1 Corinth 13 Vs 4-8 (NIV)

MONDAY 6
EMOTIONS OF THE HEART THAT COULD AFFECT OUR SPIRITUAL GROWTH—GOD
DOES NOT LIKE THEM! “These six things the LORD hates; Indeed, seven are repulsive
to Him: 17 A proud look [the attitude that makes one overestimate oneself and
discount others], a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood, 18A heart that
creates wicked plans, feet that run swiftly to evil, 19 A false witness who breathes out
lies [even half-truths], and one who spreads discord (rumors) among brothers.”
Prov 6 16-19 (AMP)

TUESDAY 7
WHAT GOOD IS IT IF YOU DO NOT EXERCISE SELF-CONTROL?
Good news from far away is like cold water to the thirsty. 26 If the godly give in to the
wicked, it’s like polluting a fountain or muddying a spring. 27 It’s not good to eat too
much honey, and it’s not good to seek honors for yourself. 28 A person without selfcontrol
is like a city with broken-down walls.”
PROVERBS 25 25-28 (NLT)

WEDNESDAY 8
AS CHILDREN OF GOD, OUR HEAVENLY FATHER EXPECTS EACH OF US TO DISCIPLINE
OUR LIVES AND CONTROL THE EMOTIONS OF OUR HEART! “But I say, walk habitually
in the [Holy] Spirit [seek Him and be responsive to His guidance], and then you will
certainly not carry out the desire of the sinful nature [which responds impulsively
without regard for God and His precepts]. 17 For the sinful nature has its desire which is
opposed to the Spirit, and the [desire of the] Spirit opposes the sinful nature; for these
[two, the sinful nature and the Spirit] are in direct opposition to each other
[continually in conflict], so that you [as believers] do not [always] do whatever [good
things] you want to do. 18 But if you are guided and led by the Spirit, you are not
subject to the Law. 19 Now the practices of the sinful nature are clearly evident: they
are sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality (total irresponsibility, lack of self-control),
20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, disputes, dissensions,
factions [that promote heresies], 21 envy, drunkenness, riotous behavior, and other

practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” Pray as the spirit of God
leads you!
Galatians 5 Vs 16-21 (AMP)

BITTERNESS IS HARMFUL TO THE SOUL—DOES IT WORTH CORRUPTING YOUR
SPIRITS? “Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one
will see the Lord. 15 See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no “root
of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled.”
HEBREWS 12 Vs 14-15 (ESV)

FRIDAY 10
PUT ON YOUR NEW NATURE AND GET RID OF THESE EMOTIONS…
“Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming. 7 You used to do these things when
your life was still part of this world. 8 But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage,
malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. 9 Don’t lie to each other, for you have
stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. 10 Put on your new nature,
and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him. 11 In this new
life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised,
barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us.”
Colossians 3 Vs 6-11 (NLT)

YOUR TIME WITH GOD IS PRICELESS AND IT MUST BE UNCOMPROMISED—VALUE EVERY PRECIOUS MOMENT! “You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. 2 I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. 3 Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. 4 I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. 5 I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you”.
Psalm 63 Vs 1-5 (NIV)

MONDAY 30
BE FAITHFUL, GET TO KNOW GOD AND SERVE HIM WELL! “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me on that day [when I judge them], ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, and driven out demons in Your name, and done many miracles in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them publicly, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME [you are banished from My presence], YOU WHO ACT WICKEDLY [disregarding My commands].”
Matthew 7Vs 21-23 (AMP)

TUESDAY 31
SEEKING GOD’S PRESENCE AND REMAINING FAITHFUL TO HIM WILL BRING ANSWERS TO THE QUESTIONS AND CHALLENGES WE FACE IN OUR LIVES! “The family got up early the next morning, worshiped before the LORD, and returned to their home in Ramah. Elkanah knew Hannah his wife, and the LORD remembered her [prayer]. 20 It came about in due time, after Hannah had conceived, that she gave birth to a son; she named him Samuel, saying, “Because I have asked for him from the LORD.”

THURSDAY 2
STAY AWAKE, BE FOCUSED, AND BE WISE IN YOUR TIME WITH GOD! “But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33 Be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come. 34 It is like a man going on a journey, when he leaves home and puts his servants[b]in charge, each with his work, and commands the doorkeeper to stay awake. 35 Therefore stay awake—for you do not know when the master of the house will come, in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows,[c] or in the morning— 36 lest he come suddenly and find you asleep. 37 And what I say to you I say to all: Stay awake.”

Father, you are Lord—the God of my salvation! You are Ancient of days; the Rock of Ages—the great “I AM” God above all Gods, and King of all Kings…I praise you, Lord according to your excellent greatness!

A Mental Health Moment!

Safeguarding our mental health is important and must not be overlooked.

Virtual platforms if used conscientiously, can support a sense of “connectedness” in the midst of restrictions and recommended measures to “Flatten the Curve”.

In the midst of this pandemic, please make sure you are taking care of yourself and your family, virtual support can also be offered to friends and neighbors as the opportunity presents.

We are inundated with social media updates, reports and announcements all of which have the capacity to impact how we manage the information received and our response potential.

For some, the use of social media can induce more harm than good subsequently posing risk to the stability of our mental health state.

Please take approximately 4 minutes to watch 2 AHS Mental Wellness Moment video clips, in which Dr. Mitchell; AHS Provincial Medical Director of Addiction and Mental Health talks about maintaining a daily schedule and being intentional about social media management as protective strategies for our mental health.

Hospital Capacity

AHS is taking measures to increase inpatient capacity at hospitals across the province.

There is projection of individuals whose symptom trajectory will warrant inpatient hospitalization for treatment and management.

There are approximately 8,500 acute care beds, it is estimated 2,250 more beds may be needed to manage anticipated cases.

Operating rooms and surgical recovery rooms will be transformed into Intensive Care Units (ICU’s), to further increase capacity, alcoves, patient lounges, hallways and other convertible spaces will be used to provide patient care.

The health care system will be “pressed”, please consider adding ‘AHS health care system employees’ to your prayers as extraordinary actions will pose significant challenge to the multitude of disciplines who are preparing to serve as their scope of practice designates.

Hospital Visitation Restrictions

Should there be need to attend to or visit someone in the hospital, please note the following:

  • During peak hours, visitors will be screened.
  • Visitors for critical end of life circumstances will be provided with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) with escort to and from room.
  • Visits must be PRE-ARRANGED with nursing unit staff, sign in and precautionary measures must be followed, i.e. hand hygiene, donning/doffing PPE as required.

MEDITATION: THE TRUE WORD!

Sunday 22 Colossians 3
Monday 23 Matthew 4
Tuesday 24 Hebrews 4
Wednesday 25 James 5
Thursday 26 Job 23
Friday 27 John 1
Saturday 28 Revelation 21

DAILY FOCUS
SUNDAY 22
THE WORD OF GOD IS TRUTH AND LIFE-IT MUST DWELL RICHLY IN US!
“15 Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always]. 16 Let the [spoken] word of Christ have its home within you [dwelling in your heart and mind—permeating every aspect of your being] as you teach [spiritual things] and admonish and train one another with all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 Whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus [and in dependence on Him], giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” Colossians 3 Vs 15-17 (AMP)

MONDAY 23
DON’T BE SUBJECTED TO FLESH—BE GOVERNED BY GOD’S WORD!
“Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And after He had fasted forty days and forty nights, Heathen became hungry. 3 And the tempter came and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” 4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.’” Matthew 4 Vs 1-4 (NASB)

TUESDAY 24
THE WORD OF GOD IS POWERFUL—FULLY EQUIPPED WITH SUPERNATURAL POWER!
“For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 And not a creature exists that is concealed from His sight, but all things are open and exposed, and revealed to the eyes of Him with whom we have to give account.”
Hebrews 4 Vs 12-13 (AMP)

WEDNESDAY 25
IT IS WRITTEN, PRAY—PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER!
“Is anyone among you suffering? He must pray. Is anyone joyful? He is to sing praises [to God]. 14 Is anyone among you sick? He must call for the elders (spiritual leaders) of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; 15 and the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God— it is dynamic and can have tremendous power].” Pray as the Spirit of God leads you. James 5 Vs 13-16 (AMP)

THURSDAY 26
TREASURE THE WORD OF GOD ABOVE EVERYTHING ELSE “But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold. 11 My feet have closely followed his steps; I have kept to his way without turning aside. 12 I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread.” Job 23 Vs 10-12 (NIV)

FRIDAY 27
JESUS IS THE ONLY TRUE AND LIVING WORD “In the beginning [before all time] was the Word
([a]Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. 2 He was [continually existing] in the beginning [co-eternally] with God. 3 All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him not even one thing was made that has come into being. 4 In Him was life [and the power to bestow life], and the life was the Light of men. 5 The Light shines on in the darkness, and the darkness did not understand it or overpower it or appropriate it or absorb it [and is unreceptive to it].” John 1Vs 1-5 (AMP)

SATURDAY 28
GOD’S WORD IS ETERNALLY FAITHFUL “And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold,
the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people,
and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6 And he said unto me, it is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.”
Rev 21 Vs 3-6 (KJV)

WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT Proverbs 30:5-6 (KJV) says: “Every word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee and thou be found a liar.”

MEDITATION: ONENESS OF SPIRIT

Sunday 15 Ephesians 4
Monday 16 John 15
Tuesday 17 Philippians 1
Wednesday 18 Acts 1
Thursday 19 Romans 14
Friday 20 Philippians 2
Saturday 21 2 Corinthians 7

DAILY FOCUS
SUNDAY 15
THERE MUST BE ONENESS OF THE SPIRIT AMONG BELIEVERS
“Make every effort to keep the oneness of the Spirit in the bond of peace [each
individual working together to make the whole successful]. 4 There is one body [of
believers] and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when called [to
salvation]—5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of us all who is
[sovereign] over all and [working] through all and [living] in all.”
Ephesians 4 Vs 3-6 (AMP)

MONDAY 16
OUR HEAVENLY FATHER HAS INSTRUCT US TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER
“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13Greater love has no one
than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I
command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s
business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father
I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you
so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in
my name the Father will give you. 17 This is my command: Love each other.”
John 15 Vs 12-17 (NIV)

TUESDAY 17
SERVANTS OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST MUST BE OF A UNIFIED HEART
“Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I
come and see you or remain absent, I will hear of you that you are standing firm in one
spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; 28 in no way alarmed
by your opponents—which is a sign of destruction for them, but of salvation for you,
and that too, from God. 29 For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to
believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, 30 experiencing the same conflict which
you saw in me, and now hear to be in me.”
Philippians 1 Vs 27-30 (NASB)

WEDNESDAY 18
WITH ONE MIND AND ONE PURPOSE, BE FERVENT IN PRAYERS!” “When they had
entered the city, they went upstairs to the upper room where they were staying
[indefinitely]; that is, Peter, and John and [his brother] James, and Andrew, Philip and
Thomas, Bartholomew (Nathanael) and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and
Simon the Zealot, and Judas (Thaddaeus) the son of James. 14 All these with one mind
and one purpose were continually devoting themselves to prayer, [waiting together]
along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.” Pray for
the hungry and homeless; a revival in the church, the body of Christ; lost loved ones;
and also for unsaved men and women around the world.
Acts 1 Vs 13-14 (AMP)

THURSDAY 19
LIVE IN PEACE AND DO WHAT IS NECESSARY FOR SPIRITUAL GROWTH!
“So then, let us pursue [with enthusiasm] the things which make for peace and the
building up of one another [things which lead to spiritual growth]. 20Do not, for the
sake of food, tear down the work of God. All things indeed are [ceremonially] clean,
but they are wrong for the person who eats and offends [another’s conscience in the
process]. 21 It is good [to do the right thing and] not eat meat or drink wine, or do
anything that offends your brother and weakens him spiritually. 22 The faith which you
have [that gives you freedom of choice], have as your own conviction before God [just
keep it between yourself and God, seeking His will]. Happy is he who has no reason to
condemn himself for what he approves. 23 But he who is uncertain [about eating a
particular thing] is condemned if he eats, because he is not acting from faith.
Whatever is not from faith is sin [whatever is done with doubt is sinful].”
Romans 14 Vs 19-23 (AMP)

FRIDAY 20
HAVE THE SAME MINDSET AS CHRIST
“Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort
from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,
2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in
spirit and of one mind. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in
humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of
you to the interests of the others. 5 In your relationships with one another, have the
same mindset as Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 2 Vs 1-5 (NIV)

SATURDAY 21
CHILDREN OF GOD MUST LIVE A CHRIST-LIKE LIFE—A LIFE OF HOLINESS
The essence of God’s character is holiness. As believers, we must not be conformed to
this world; instead, our manner of life must reflect holiness. “Therefore, since we have
these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates
body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.”
2 Corinthians 7 Vs 1 (NIV)

WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT: Philippians 2:2 (ESV) says: “Complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.”
