SUNDAY 19
SHOUT AND SING PRAISES OF JOY UNTO THE LORD!
“Then I will praise you with music on the harp, because you are faithful to
your promises, O my God. I will sing praises to you with a lyre, O Holy One of
Israel. 23 I will shout for joy and sing your praises, for you have ransomed me.
24 I will tell about your righteous deeds all day long, for everyone who tried to
hurt me has been shamed and humiliated.”
Psalm 71 Vs 22-24 (NLT)

MONDAY 20
PRAISE HIM FOR ALL HE HAS DONE—HE HAS SAVED YOU FROM YOUR ENEMIES!
“And David spoke to the LORD the words of this song on the day when
the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of
Saul. 2 He said, “The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
3 my[a] God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my
salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior; you save me from
violence. 4 I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved
from my enemies.”
2 Samuel 22 Vs 1-4 (ESV)

TUESDAY 21 YOU HAVE ALL REASON TO PRAISE GOD—WHEREVER YOU FIND YOURSELF
TODAY STOP AND PRAISE HIM!” “David praised the LORD in the presence of
the whole assembly, saying, “Praise be to you, LORD, the God of our father
Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.11 Yours, LORD, is the greatness and the
power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in
heaven and earth is yours. Yours, LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as
head over all. 12 Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all
things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to
all. 13 Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.”
Praise God according to His excellent greatness, forget about yourself and praise Him
because you are alive; exalt His holy name—He is most worthy of all praise!
Hallelujah!
1 Chronicles 29 Vs 10-13 (AMP)

WEDNESDAY 22
GLORIFY THE NAME OF THE MOST-HIGH GOD—HE STILL HEARS AND
ANSWERS PRAYERS TODAY! Thanks, be unto God! We serve-a real God-the
one and only true-living God, who hears and answers prayers! Can you
imagine praying to a God who is deaf? What a hopeless situation—putting
faith and trust in a hopeless God, who never hears or answers! We are truly
blessed to serve the only true and living God! He said: “I will answer them
before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I
will go ahead and answer their prayers!”
Isaiah 65 Vs 24 (NLT)

THURSDAY 23
SING PRAISES UNTO THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!
“Then Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam sang on that day, saying,
2 “For the leaders who took the lead in Israel, For the people who
volunteered [for battle], Bless the LORD!
3 “Hear, O kings; listen, O rulers! I
will sing to the LORD, I will sing praise to the LORD, the God of Israel.”
Judges 5 Vs 1-3 (AMP)

FRIDAY 24
EXALT THE NAME OF THE LORD ABOVE ALL THINGS!
“5 And the Levites—Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah,
Shebaniah and Pethahiah—said: “Stand up and praise the LORD your God, who
is from everlasting to everlasting. “Blessed be your glorious name, and may it
be exalted above all blessing and praise. 6 You alone are the LORD. You made
the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and
all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and
the multitudes of heaven worship you.”
Nehemiah 9 Vs 5-6 (NIV)

SATURDAY 25 REJOICE IN THE LORD IN THE MIDST OF CIRCUMSTANCES!
“Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are
no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls,
18 yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I
will be joyful in God my Savior.”

Wednesday 15 Philippians 3
Thursday 16 Revelation 22
Friday 17 Joel 2
Saturday 18 2 Timothy 2

DAILY FOCUS

SUNDAY 12
IN THE MIDST OF THE STORMS, DON’T GIVE UP!
“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive
the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. 13 When tempted, no one should
say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each
person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. 15 Then, after
desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death; 16 Don’t
be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. 17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down
from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. 18He chose to give
us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.”
James 1 Vs 12-18 (NIV)

MONDAY 13
MEDITATING ON GOD’S WORD IS SPIRITUALLY PROSPEROUS! “Oh, the joys of those who do not
follow evil men’s advice, who do not hang around with sinners, scoffing at the things of God. 2 But
they delight in doing everything God wants them to, and day and night are always meditating on his
laws and thinking about ways to follow him more closely. 3 They are like trees along a riverbank
bearing luscious fruit each season without fail. Their leaves shall never wither, and all they do shall
prosper.” Glory to God!
Psalm 1 Vs 1-3 (TLB)

TUESDAY 14
AS A FOLLOWER OF JESUS CHRIST, STAY TRUE AND SHARE THE GOSPEL TO THOSE AROUND YOU!
“I have a duty to perform and a debt to pay both to Greeks and to barbarians [the cultured and the
uncultured], both to the wise and to the foolish. 15 So, for my part, I am ready and eager to preach
the gospel also to you who are in Rome. 16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God
for salvation [from His wrath and punishment] to everyone who believes [in Christ as Savior], to the
Jew first and also to the Greek. 17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed, both
springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed in a way that awakens more faith]. As it is written
and forever remains written, “THE JUST and UPRIGHT SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.”
Romans 1 Vs 14-17 (AMP)

WEDNESDAY 15
BE PERSISTENT IN WATCHING AND PRAYING—THE MASTER IS SOON TO RETURN! As long as we
have life, we must pray; as long as there are sinners in the world — pray; as long as our children,
loved ones, and unsaved family members are lost—we must fervently pray! God’s interest in man is
to have every soul saved—it’s not His will that any should perish! Satan is still on the loose so
prayer should never be an option, but it must be a necessity—our prayers to the true living God will
resist him. “Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. 34 For the Son of Man
is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every
man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. 35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when
the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.” Pray
for the lost, all nations and for the body of Christ!
Mark 13 Vs 33-37 (KJV)

THURSDAY 16
WITH MUCH PERSEVERANCE, FULFILL THE MINISTRY YOU WERE CALLED TO DO! “Preach the
word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience
and careful instruction. 3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound
doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers
to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn
aside to myths.5 But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an
evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.”
2 Tim 4 Vs 2-5 (NIV)

FRIDAY 17
OPPOSITION WILL ALWAYS ARISE WHEN WE ARE COMMITTED AND DETERMINED TO WORK
TOWARDS ADVANCING THE KINGDOM OF GOD! Satan’s will use all kinds of schemes and tactics to
stir up trouble, but when we stay focus and trust in God, he could never win! When Sanballat learnt
that the Jews were rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem, he got angry and in the presence of his
associates and the army of Samaria, he mocked God’s people. Nehemiah cried out to the God of
Heaven for them not be ridiculed. God confused their enemy; and the laborers carried on their
work from sunrise to sunset, They persevered and the wall of Jerusalem was finished on the twentyfifth of Elul, in fifty-two days; when the enemy and surrounding nations heard of the Jews’
completion of the wall, they lose confidence and thought it could only be the hand of God who had
helped them. Glory to the most-high God! Read Nehemiah 6:15-16. Read throughout the chapter…
Nehemiah 4 Vs 15-23 (KJV)

SATURDAY 18
ALWAYS TESTIFY OF THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD AND NEVER BE ASHAMED TO SHARE
WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR YOU! “I will praise you to all my brothers; I will stand up before the
congregation and testify of the wonderful things you have done. 23 “Praise the Lord, each one of you
who fears him,” I will say. “Each of you must fear and reverence his name. Let all Israel sing his
praises, 24 for he has not despised my cries of deep despair; he has not turned and walked away.
When I cried to him, he heard and came. 25 Yes, I will stand and praise you before all the people. I
will publicly fulfill my vows in the presence of all who reverence your name.”
Psalm 22 Vs 22-25 (TLB)

WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT Revelation 3:11 (NLT) says: “I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take away your
crown.

the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your

you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. 2
I have seen you in the
sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. 3 Because your love is better than
life, my lips will glorify you. 4
I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will
lift up my hands. 5
I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips
my mouth will praise you”.
Psalm 63 Vs 1-5 (NIV)

TUESDAY 7 REJOICE IN THE LORD, IN HIS PRESENCE THERE IS FULLNESS OF JOY! “The LORD is the
portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. 6 The lines are
fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage. 7
I will bless the
LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. 8
I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be
moved. 9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest
in hope…. 11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at
thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”
Psalm 16 Vs 5-11 (KJV)

WEDNESDAY 8
KEEP THE FAITH! BE STEADFAST IN PRAYER AND REMEMBER TO PRAY FOR EACH
OTHER! “I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers; 17 [I
always pray] that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may grant you
a spirit of wisdom and of revelation [that gives you a deep and personal and intimate
insight] into the true knowledge of Him [for we know the Father through the Son].
18 And [I pray] that the eyes of your heart [the very center and core of your being]
may be enlightened [flooded with light by the Holy Spirit], so that you will know and
cherish the hope [the divine guarantee, the confident expectation] to which He has
called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints (God’s people).” Pray
for increase faith for all your brothers and sisters in Christ and never be weary of
praying for lost souls!
Ephesians 1 Vs 16-18 (AMP)

THURSDAY 9
DO YOU TRULY KNOW GOD? “
6 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to
us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the
Spirit[a] of truth and the spirit of falsehood.” 7 Dear friends, let us love one another,
for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
1 John 4 Vs 6-8 (NIV)

FRIDAY 10
IT’S IMPERATIVE THAT EACH OF US KNOW GOD FOR OURSELVES—WE MUST
CONTINUALLY SEEK HIM AND GET TO KNOW HIM MORE! “Not everyone who says
to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will
of My Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me on that day [when I judge
them], ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, and driven out demons in
Your name, and done many miracles in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to
them publicly, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME [you are banished from My
presence], YOU WHO ACT WICKEDLY [disregarding My commands].”
Matthew 7 Vs 21-23 (AMP)

SATURDAY 11 OBEY THE LORD! BE A WATCHMAN FOR LOST SOULS AND TELL THE WORLD THAT
JESUS SAVES! “After seven days the LORD gave me a message. He said, 17 “Son of
man, I have appointed you as a watchman for Israel. Whenever you receive a
message from me, warn people immediately. 18 If I warn the wicked, saying, ‘You are
under the penalty of death,’ but you fail to deliver the warning, they will die in their
sins. And I will hold you responsible for their deaths. 19 If you warn them and they
refuse to repent and keep on sinning, they will die in their sins. But you will have
saved yourself because you obeyed me.”
Ezekiel 3 Vs 16-19 (NLT)

WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT: Jeremiah 29:13 (ESV) “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”

MEDITATION: FORGIVENESS!

Sunday 28 1 John 1
Monday 29 Isaiah 43
Tuesday 30 Hebrews 10
Wednesday 1 Daniel 9
Thursday 2 Numbers 14
Friday 3 Matthew 6
Saturday 4 Micah 7

DAILY FOCUS

SUNDAY 28 JESUS WAS, AND IS, THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF FORGIVENESS—HE WAS BORN
TO SAVE THE WORLD, YET THEY CRUCIFIED HIM—INSPITE OF THAT, HE ASKED
THE FATHER TO FORGIVE THEM! “Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do
not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.
35 The people stood watching, and the rulers even sneered at him. They said, “He
saved others; let him save himself if he is God’s Messiah, the Chosen One. 36 The
soldiers also came up and mocked him. They offered him wine vinegar 37 and said,
“If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself.” 38 There was a written notice
above him, which read: THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
39 One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: “Aren’t you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!”
40 But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you
are under the same sentence? 41 We are punished justly, for we are getting what
our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.”
Luke 23 Vs 34-41 (NIV)

MONDAY 29 PRAISE GOD AND THANK HIM FOR FORGIVENESS! “Put on then, as God’s chosen
ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and
patience, 13 bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another,
forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. 14And
above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.”
Colossians 3 Vs 12-14 (ESV)

TUESDAY 30 THE WORD OF GOD HAS MADE IT CLEAR TO FORGIVE OTHERS—EVEN IF THEY
HAVE INNUMEROUSLY SINNED AGAINST YOU, FORGIVE THEM! “Then Peter
came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I
forgive him? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to
seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”
Matthew 18 Vs 21-22 (KJV)

WEDNESDAY 1 IF YOU DON’T FORGIVE OTHERS WHEN THEY SIN AGAINST YOU, GOD WILL NOT
FORGIVE YOU EITHER! A PRAYER OF FORGIVENESS: Dear God, thank you for
helping me to forgive those of whom have wronged me. I release them from the
pain they have caused me, and I set myself free to Your healing. With Your help, I
will no longer dwell on the situation. Thank You Lord, for forgiving me as I have
forgiven them. I pray this, in Jesus’ name, amen!
“For if you forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins], your
heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others [nurturing
your hurt and anger with the result that it interferes with your relationship with
God], then your Father will not forgive your trespasses.” Pray on all occasions—
including for those of whom have wronged you…
Matthew 6 Vs 14-15 (KJV)

THURSDAY 2 AFTER FORGIVING OTHERS, RE-FOCUS ON GOD’S PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE—HE IS
FAR MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANYTHING OR ANYONE ELSE! “For I know the
plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm
you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and
pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek
me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the LORD, “and will bring
you back from captivity…”
Jeremiah 29 Vs 11-14 (NIV)

FRIDAY 3 UNFORGIVENESS PRODUCES BITTERNESS, BUT FORGIVENESS PROMOTES
HEALING AND THE LOVE OF GOD IN YOUR HEART TOWARDS OTHERS! “Let all
bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor [perpetual animosity, resentment,
strife, fault-finding] and slander be put away from you, along with every kind of
malice [all spitefulness, verbal abuse, malevolence]. 32 Be kind and helpful to one
another, tender-hearted [compassionate, understanding], forgiving one another
[readily and freely], just as God in Christ also forgave you.”
Ephesians 4 Vs 31-32 (AMP)

SATURDAY 4 FORGIVENSS IS AN ACT OF OBEDIENCE TO THE WILL OF GOD!
“Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be
condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven.” Luke 6 Vs 37 (ESV)

WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT: PSALM 86:5 (NIV) says: “You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.”

God is Good!

SCRIPTURE READINGS FOR JUNE 21 – 27, 2020
MEDITATION: GOD IS GOOD!

Sunday 21 John 3
Monday 22 Ephesians 2
Tuesday 23 Lamentations 3
Wednesday 24 1 John 5
Thursday 25 Malachi 3
Friday 26 Psalm 36
Saturday 27 Psalm 84

DAILY FOCUS

SUNDAY 21 GOD IS A GOOD GOD; HE IS GOOD TO ALL—THE JUST AND THE UNJUST! “For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his
Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might
be saved.”
John 3 Vs 16-17 (KJV)

MONDAY 22 SALVATION IS NOT A REWARD FOR THE GOOD WE HAVE DONE, BUT IT’S AS A
RESULT OF GOD’S GOODNESS, HIS MERCIES AND HIS GRACE! “For it is by grace
[God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been
saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And
this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the
[undeserved, gracious] gift of God; 9 not as a result of [your] works [nor your
attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in
any way [for his salvation].”
Ephesians 2 Vs 8-9 (AMP)

TUESDAY 23 THE MERCIES OF GOD ARE GREAT AND FAR BEYOND MEASURE! “It is of the
LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. 24 The LORD is my portion,
saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. 25 The LORD is good unto them that wait
for him, to the soul that seeketh him. 26 It is good that a man should both hope
and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.
27 It is good for a man that he bear
the yoke in his youth. 28 He sitteth alone and keepeth silence, because he hath
borne it upon him. 29 He putteth his mouth in the dust; if so be there may be
hope. 30 He giveth his cheek to him that smiteth him: he is filled full with reproach.
31 For the LORD will not cast off for ever: 32 But though he cause grief, yet will he
have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.”
Lamentations 3 Vs 22-32 (KJV)

WEDNESDAY 24 THE EARS OF OUR HEAVENLY FATHER ARE INCLINED TO OUR PRAYERS—PRAY
WITH DEFINITE REQUESTS, WHEN YOU PRAY—HE HEARS! “And if we know [for a
fact, as indeed we do] that He hears and listens to us in whatever we ask, we
[also] know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted to us]
the requests which we have asked from Him. 16 If anyone sees his brother
committing a sin that does not lead to death, he will pray and ask [on the
believer’s behalf] and God will for him give life to those whose sin is not leading to
death. There is a sin that leads to death; I do not say that one should pray for this
[kind of sin]. 17 All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death
[one can repent of it and be forgiven].” Pray on all occasions, as the spirit of God
leads you! 1 John 5 Vs 15-17 (AMP)

THURSDAY 25 TITHING AND OFFERING TO GOD ARE NOT ONLY NECESSARY BUT EXTREMELY
IMPORTANT—THEY OFFER INNUMEROUS BLESSINGS! “Bring all the tithes into
the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the
LORD of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour
out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me
to the test! 11 Your crops will be abundant, for I will guard them from insects and
disease.[a] Your grapes will not fall from the vine before they are ripe,” says the
LORD of Heaven’s Armies. 12 “Then all nations will call you blessed, for your land
will be such a delight,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.”
Malachi 3 Vs. 10-12 (NLT)

FRIDAY 26 NOTHING CAN COMPARE TO THE LOVING KINDNESS OF OUR GOD!
“How precious is Your loving kindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge
in the shadow of Your wings.8 They drink their fill of the [f]abundance of Your
house; and You give them to drink of the river of Your delights. 9 For with You is
the fountain of life; In Your light we see light. 10 O continue Your loving kindness to
those who know You, and Your righteousness to the upright in heart.”
Psalm 36 Vs 7-10 (NASB)

SATURDAY 27 CHILDREN OF GOD ARE BLESSED AND FAVORED—NO GOOD THING THE FATHER
OF GLORY WITHHOLDS FROM THEM! “For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the
LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose
walk is blameless.”
Psalm 84 Vs 11 (NIV)

WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT: Psalm 30:5 (KJV) “For His anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”

Unity in the Body of Christ #2

SCRIPTURE READINGS FOR JUNE 14-20, 2020
MEDITATION: UNITY IN THE BODY OF CHRIST!
“Until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. 14 As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; 15 but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.” EPHESIANS 4:13-16 (NASB).

Sunday 14 1 Corinthians 12
Monday 15 Malachi 2
Tuesday 16 1 Peter 3
Wednesday 17 1 Samuel 14
Thursday 18 judges 20
Friday 19 Ruth 1
Saturday 20 Romans 12

DAILY FOCUS

SUNDAY 14
THE SPIRIT OF GOD IS DISPLEASED WITH DIVISIONS AMONGST HIS BELIEVERS!
“But I urge you, believers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you be in
full agreement in what you say, and that there be no divisions or factions among you,
but that you be perfectly united in your way of thinking and in your judgment [about
matters of the faith]. 11 For I have been informed about you, my brothers and sisters,
by those of Chloe’s household, that there are quarrels and factions among you.
12 Now I mean this, that each one of you says, “I am [a disciple] of Paul,” or “I am [a
disciple] of Apollos,” or “I am [a disciple] of Cephas (Peter),” or “I am [a disciple] of
Christ.” 13 Has Christ been divided [into different parts]? Was Paul crucified for you?
Or were you baptized into the name of Paul? [Certainly not!]”
1 Corinthians 1 10-13 (AMP)

MONDAY 15
IT IS GOOD AND PLEASANT WHEN GOD’S PEOPLE DWELL TOGETHER IN UNITY
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! 2
It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even
Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; 3 As the dew of Hermon,
and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD
commanded the blessing, even life
Psalm 133 1-3 (KJV)

TUESDAY 16
BE OF THE SAME MIND, MAINTAIN THE SAME LOVE AND BE UNITED IN SPIRIT
“Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love,
if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, 2 make my joy
complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit,
intent on one purpose. 3 Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with
humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; 4 do not
merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.”
Philippians 2 1-4 (ESV)

WEDNESDAY 17
GOD IS PLEASED WHEN HIS CHILDREN ARE OF ONE HEART AND SOUL!
“And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was
shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word
of God with boldness. 32 Now the full number of those who believed were of one
heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his
own, but they had everything in common. 33 And with great power the apostles were
giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon
them all.” Pray frequently throughout the day for each other—pray that we all live a
harmonious life—pleasing our heavenly father. Also pray for the current events of the
world and for lost souls.
Acts 4 31-33 (ESV)

FRIDAY 19
LOVE IS THE PERFECT BOND OF UNITY
“So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a
heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; 13 bearing with
one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just
as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. 14 beyond all these things put on love,
which is the perfect bond of unity.”

Holiness Unto God #2

SCRIPTURE READINGS FOR JUNE 7-13, 2020
MEDITATION: HOLINESS UNTO GOD!
The essence of God is holiness. As children of God, we must not be conformed to this world; instead, our lives must be a life of holiness. Peter instructed believers to be holy as the Lord is. God also commanded the Children of the Old Testament to be holy Leviticus 11:44; therefore, our lives must be set apart from the world because we have chosen a different lifestyle to live by. “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:” 1 Peter 2:9 (KJV).

Sunday 7 Psalm 77
Monday 8 1 Peter 1
Tuesday 9 Isaiah 57
Wednesday 10 2 Corinthians 6
Thursday 11 1 Thessalonians 3
Friday 12 Revelations 4
Saturday 13 Ezekiel 36

DAILY FOCUS

SUNDAY 7 HOLINESS IS THE ESSENCE OF GODLINESS!
Our lives are sanctified by the power of God through the Holy Spirit. We are
not capable of living the Christian life on our own, that’s why He has sent us the
Divine help of the Holy Spirit—hallelujah! The Christian life is a sanctified life—
a life of holiness unto God. The blood of Jesus has washed and cleansed us
from all our sins to do the will of God; therefore, holiness must be our evident
lifestyle. The bible tells us without holiness, none of us will see the Lord.
Hebrews 12:14

MONDAY 8 WHAT IS HOLINESS?
Holiness is wholesomeness, completeness, pureness, and perfection unto God.
It is also a place in God. When God sanctifies something—whether it’s a place, a
person or a thing, it becomes holy. That person, place or thing becomes
separated from all things, unto God. As God’s children, we’ve been sanctified by
the Spirit unto Him; therefore, we are holy. Also, when God’s presence comes
upon someone or when His presence comes upon a place—like it did on Mount
Sinai in the Old Testament, it becomes holy. The temple in the Old Testament
also was called holy because the presence of God dwelt there, and God had
separated that place unto Himself.
Exodus 24:15-16

TUESDAY 9 THOSE WHO LIVE A LIFE OF HOLINESS
Those who live a life of holiness, live according to the will, divine plans,
and purposes of God. They live to avoid the sinful desires of the flesh and seek
to be led by the power of the Holy Spirit. A life of holiness typifies a Christ-like
life—they follow the examples of Jesus Christ—living a life of obedience,
reverence and worship to the Father. A life of holiness must be done unto God,
not unto men. A holy life is spiritually filled and is therefore void of ungodly
activities. Those who live a life of holiness desire to have a profound relationship
with their Creator—serving Him whole-heartedly.
Colossians 3:22-23

WEDNESDAY 10 HOLINESS BRINGS ON PRAYERFULNESS
A person living in holiness understands the significance of prayer. He or she
prays continually as the word of God has instructed. It’s not just the fancy
word of his/her prayers that motivates God to move on his or her behalf, but it’s
the brokenness, sincerity and pureness of the heart—the effectual fervent
prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Let’s pray for each other, worldwide nations, and as the Spirit of God leads…Pray throughout the day!
James 5:16

THURSDAY 11 HOLINESS MUST BE SEEN IN THE MANNER OF LIFE WE LIVE
Our lives must manifest a Christ-like behavior—the way we talk—the things we
say, the places we go, the company we keep, the way we dress and how we
conduct ourselves—everything we do in our daily lives, must represents Jesus
and reflects holiness, “for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”
1 Peter 1 Vs 16 (NIV)

FRIDAY 12 HOLINESS MUST BE SET APART FROM WORLDLINESS
“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the
love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the desires of the
flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is
from the world. 17 And the world is passing away along with its desires, but
whoever does the will of God abides forever.”
1 John 2 Vs 15-17

SATURDAY 13 HOLINESS MUST REPRESENT EVERY DAY OF OUR LIVES!
God intends for all to live a holy life—everyday! When we live in His
righteousness, He will not hesitate to be in our presence. Our bodies are the
temple of the Holy Spirit; however, He will not enter a defiled temple—holiness
is His dwelling place. “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the
Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your
own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.”
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NIV)

WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT: 2 Corinthians 7:1 (NIV) says: “Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.”

The Spiritually Minded!

SCRIPTURE READINGS FOR MAY 31-JUNE 6, 2020
MEDITATION: THE SPIRITUALLY MINDED
“Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. 9 You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. 10 But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. 11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.” ROMANS 8:8-11 (NIV)

Sunday 31 Joel 2
Monday 1 2 Thessalonians 3
Tuesday 2 1 Corinthians 15
Wednesday 3 Ephesians 4
Thursday 4 Romans 13
Friday 5 2 Chronicles 34
Saturday 6 John 6

DAILY FOCUS

SUNDAY 31 SPIRITUALLY-MINDED CHILDREN OF GOD EXPRESS “AWE-FILLED REVERENCE” FOR
HIM. “Then those who feared the LORD [with awe-filled reverence] spoke to one
another; and the LORD paid attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was
written before Him of those who fear the LORD [with an attitude of reverence and
respect] and who esteem His name. 17 “They will be Mine,” says the LORD of hosts,
“on that day when I publicly recognize them and openly declare them to be My own
possession [that is, My very special treasure]. And I will have compassion on them
and spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.”
Malachi 3 Vs 16-17 (AMP)

MONDAY 1 WHEN WE WALK IN THE SPIRIT, THE FLESH WILL NOT BE GRATIFIED! “But the
fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24 Now those who
belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we
live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. 26 Let us not become boastful,
challenging one another, envying one another.”
Galatians 5 Vs 22-26 (NASB)

TUESDAY 2 THE SPIRITUALLY-MINDED DELIGHTS IN DOING THE WILL OF GOD—THEY WALK IN
ONENESS OF SPIRIT
“For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one
body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit are we all
baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or
free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.”
1 Corinth 12 Vs 12-13 (KJV)

WEDNESDAY 3 PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT WILL SPIRITUALLY BUILD YOU UP! “But you, beloved, build
yourselves up on [the foundation of] your most holy faith [continually progress, rise
like an edifice higher and higher], pray in the Holy Spirit, 21 and keep yourselves in
the love of God, waiting anxiously and looking forward to the mercy of our Lord
Jesus Christ [which will bring you] to eternal life. 22 And have mercy on some, who
are doubting; 23 save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy
but with fear, loathing even the clothing spotted and polluted by their shameless
immoral freedom.” Pray for the gospel of Jesus Christ to take full course all around
the world—reaching souls that desperately need salvation!
Jude 1 Vs 20-23 (AMP)
THURSDAY 4 DON’T LET YOUR MIND BE GOVERNED BY THE FLESH—GOD DOES NOT DELIGHT IN
THE FLESHLY-MINDED! “The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind
governed by the Spirit is life and peace. 7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to
God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8 Those who are in the realm
of the flesh cannot please God.”
Romans 8 Vs 6-8 (KJV)

FRIDAY 5 THOSE WHO DWELL IN SPIRITUAL SLEEPINESS IS UNAWARE OF WHAT GOD IS
SAYING! INCLINE YOUR EARS AND HEAR THE WORD: “This is the reason I speak to
the crowds in parables: because while [having the power of] seeing they do not see,
and while [having the power of] hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand
and grasp [spiritual things]. 14 In them the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which
says, ‘YOU WILL HEAR and KEEP ON HEARING, BUT NEVER UNDERSTAND; AND YOU WILL LOOK and
KEEP ON LOOKING, BUT NEVER COMPREHEND; 15 FOR THIS NATION’S HEART HAS GROWN HARD, AND
WITH THEIR EARS THEY HARDLY HEAR, AND THEY HAVE [tightly] CLOSED THEIR EYES, OTHERWISE THEY
WOULD SEE WITH THEIR EYES, AND HEAR WITH THEIR EARS, AND UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEART, AND
TURN [to Me] AND I WOULD HEAL THEM [spiritually].’ 16 But blessed [spiritually aware, and
favored by God] are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear.
17 I assure you and most solemnly say to you, many prophets and righteous men
[who were honorable and in right standing with God] longed to see what you see,
and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it. ”
Matthew 13 Vs 13-17 (AMP)

SATURDAY 6 CHILDREN OF THE MOST HIGH GOD SPIRITUALLY LIVE AND FEED ON HIS WORD!
“Oh, the joys of those who do not follow evil men’s advice, who do not hang around
with sinners, scoffing at the things of God. 2 But they delight in doing everything God
wants them to, and day and night are always meditating on his laws and thinking
about ways to follow him more closely. 3 They are like trees along a riverbank
bearing luscious fruit each season without fail. Their leaves shall never wither, and
all they do shall prosper.”
Psalm 1 Vs 1-3 (TLB)

WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT: Galatians 5:16 (KJV) says: “This I say then, walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”

“Trust in the LORD and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. 4 Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart’s desires. 5 Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and he will help you. 6 He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun. 7 Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes. 8 Stop being angry! Turn from your rage! Do not lose your temper—it only leads to harm ” PSALM 37:3-8 (NLT)

called for Joshua, and as all Israel watched, he said to him, “Be strong and courageous!
For you will lead these people into the land that the LORD swore to their ancestors he
would give them. You are the one who will divide it among them as their grants of

unselfishly seeking the best for others], just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself
up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God [slain for you, so that it became] a sweet
fragrance.”
Ephesians 5 Vs 1-2 (AMP)

TUESDAY 26 DON’T NEGLECT TO DO GOOD: HELP THOSE IN NEED AND ENCOURAGE OTHERS WITH
THE UPLIFTING WORD OF GOD! “We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of
the weak and not to please ourselves. 2 Each of us should please our neighbors for their
good, to build them up. 3 For even Christ did not please himself but, as it is written:
“The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.” 4 For everything that was
written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the
Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope. 5 May the God
who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward
each other that Christ Jesus had, 6 so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify
the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Romans 15 Vs 1-6 (KJV)

WEDNESDAY 27 THE WORD OF GOD IS EFFECTIVE—DAILY PRAY THEM IN YOUR PRAYERS AND OVER

shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the
wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they
stumbled and fell. 3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not
fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. 4 One thing have I
desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all
the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.”
Let us pray for our brothers and sisters around the world, for all nations and leaders
as well as lost souls…Pray periodically throughout the day!
Psalm 27 Vs 1-4 (KJV)

on the LORD. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. 9 Therefore my heart is
glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, 10 because you will not
abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay.
11 You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with
eternal pleasures at your right hand.”
Psalm 16 Vs 8-11 (NIV)

FRIDAY 29 WHAT CAN SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Praise
God! “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or
persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written: “For Your
sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Yet in all
these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am
persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor
things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8 Vs 35-39 (KJV)

that we perish? 39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the
